Hi. I'm Margo, and I started DRY CLEANING TO-YOUR-DOORŪ in 1994. As a woman on the go, I was traveling three out of four weeks a month. During the short time when I was at home, I never could manage to get my dry cleaning done. I would put it in the car and drive around with it for days, forgetting to drop it off. That's when I started thinking "what if" and came up with the idea for DRY CLEANING TO-YOUR-DOORŪ.
Having worked for a national real estate franchise in marketing, franchise sales and consulting since 1970, I had an excellent background for this venture.
I took a second mortgage on my home and began the route business with less than $20,000. As my route business increased, I used that money to develop the franchise program.
I'll never forget how excited I was the first morning I went out on my route. I had signed up 21 customers, and there were 11 neon green bags hanging out for Pick-up! In fact, I drove by the houses three times just to look at them before I actually stopped and picked them up!!!!!
Now I am excited every time I watch a new franchise owner who is afraid to start the business learn and grow to where they are making more money than ever before.
